ADMISSION
This is an introductory class covering the basics of running the Blue Shenhui SH-G570 60-watt laser cutter/engraver at Xerocraft. We will also cover some basic introductory material in drawing vector graphics with Lightburn to send to the laser cutter.
There will be a monthly mini-project for each class.
NOTICE: ALL Minors Must have a parent present for this class
This class includes the use of potentially hazardous tools and/or materials. Any students under age 18 must have a parent or legal guardian present with them in the class, and have signed an injury waiver for the underage student. The instructor may choose not to permit a student to participate at their discretion.
Please note: Members who have completed this introductory training are NOT yet Laser Certified. In order to get the Laser computer password, trainees must demonstrate their knowledge in a separate session. Contact boss.laser@xerocraft.org for more information or to schedule an appointment.

If you are unfamiliar with vector graphics software, we usually recommend Inkscape to beginners; it's a free, open-source software similar to Adobe Illustrator.
