ADMISSION
Learn how to make two Fold Formed cuffs and how to add color accents using the following techniques:
Fold forming is a revolutionary technique in jewelry design that allows artists to create complex, three-dimensional shapes from metal sheets. My goal is to have you make two cuffs using different gauge copper sheets (materials provided). The first cuff introduces basic folding procedures (22 gauge) and the second (15 gauge) demonstrates procedures using the heavy gauge applications. Annealing is a repeated process during fold forming, and I will demonstrate and ensure you are comfortable annealing and using a torch.
This NEW class will start by demonstrating a turquoise patina technique, and later a heat patina (multiple techniques exist) using copper. The process generates a vivid turquoise appearance and takes 5 minutes to prepare and approximately 1 hour to develop. I will display or demonstrate all cuffs pictured below.
