ADMISSION

Learning the skills to create jewelry from copper, brass or silver takes time and dedication to the craft.  This class teaches you how to begin.

We will talk about and demonstrate:

Materials to use and where to buy them.

Tools needed to transform metal into a piece of jewelry— a ring, a pendant, a bracelet, earrings, etc. This will include cutting, shaping, and filing a copper band.

How to connect metals by soldering, drilling, riveting, adding connectors, etc.

Methods of polishing.

After this class, you will need hands on experience to actually make a piece of jewelry.  As a member of Xerocraft you can utilize the jewelry studio to put the above knowledge into practice.  Available staffers are there to help you complete a project!
