On May 13, Xerocraft president Connor Barickman signed a memorandum of understanding with Pima Community College and two nonprofit groups, Jobpath and Innovengine, with the aim to improve skills of current and future engineers. This is the first step towards developing future hands-on programs for PCC students at Xerocraft, as well as jointly pursuing STEM education and workforce development grants.
These organizations have already been collaborating informally over the past two years to mentor the PCC Engineering Club, which has been meeting weekly at Xerocraft. The club has been hugely successful, recently winning Outstanding Educational Program of the Year at PCC.
