Metal Lathe Class! And I finally turned on the RSVP function too!!!

Xerocraft is having another metal lathe class! We will be teaching 3 individuals how to safely use the metal lathe. If you wish to add this skill please sign up. If you can't because of the holidays, or 3 others beat you to the reserved tickets, there will be more. Fortunately we now have 4 instructors so the classes should be really consistent, with one every two weeks (major holidays excluded) with an alternating sequence of Bridgeport Mill and the Lathe.


If you get a ticket, please email "volunteer@xerocraft.org" with your name and contact information. I am asking that you do this so I can provide you with instructions in case you have to cancel. We had an understandable cancellation but lacked a process for notifying a backup student! I want everyone to have the maximum opportunity to get this training as soon as possible!


Due to the possibility of a cancellation, we are also taking names for a backup list. If you miss getting a ticket please email "volunteer@xerocraft.org" with "lathe" in the heading, and include your name and a telephone number where you can be reached on short notice. This backup list is ONLY for this one class and all future classes will be 'first come, first served'.


The appropriate attire for this class will be full-toed shoes or boots, no loose clothing, no aprons, and long hair restrained in some manner. You will have to also wear safety glasses or goggles, which we can lend you if you don't have your own. Bring pen and paper if you wish to take notes!
