COVID-19 Rules and Recommendations

Xerocraft is committed to the health and safety of our members and our community. To ensure that you and those around you are safe, Xerocraft is instituting the following rules and guidelines to help prevent the spread of Covid 19. The following is required:

Update on Xerocraft Mask Policy (Revised March 8th)

  • Masks are no longer required at Xerocraft EXCEPT:
  • when you are in a class
  • when you are in a room with 3 or more people
  • when someone asks you to wear a mask
  • Xerocraft is a safe space where you can ask someone to put on a mask. If you are asked to mask up, please be sensitive and comply, or move to a different area of the shop. Thanks for understanding as we all navigate these challenging times.
  • When asked or required, please use an effective mask. Mesh masks, face shields (only), and bandanas are not considered effective by Xerocraft and members wearing them will not be considered in compliance with this policy. Medical masks are at the front desk for those that need them.
  • No smoking or vaping within 20ft of an entrance, or within 6 ft of another person.
  • DO NOT ENTER XEROCRAFT if you are sick, have symptoms or have been exposed to someone who has been diagnosed with Covid-19 within the last 14 days.
  • Notify Xerocraft immediately if you receive a positive test result for Covid-19 and have been inside the shop within the last 14 days
  • Community transmission is MEDIUM according to the Pima County Health Department.

You are responsible for your safety and the safety of those around you. The following practices are also recommended, but not required, while inside the shop:

  • Wash your hands regularly
  • Avoid touching your face
  • Disinfect your tools before and after use if you personally feel the need. We cannot guarantee all equipment has been disinfected prior to your arrival. Materials and equipment are provided by the front door.
  • If it is not too cold outside, please keep the blower for the swamp cooler on (no water needed unless you want it colder) to create positive air pressure in the building.

Xerocraft is a wonderful community of makers. Please be sure to follow the above guidelines to keep you and your fellow members as safe as possible. If we work together we can keep our community safe while we keep on Hacking!
