Thank You To The Arts Foundation For Tucson And Southern Arizona

Thank you to The Arts Foundation for Tucson and Southern Arizona for their $1,000 donation to KMKR and local Tucson radio! We are delighted to have been selected for funding by The Arts Foundation for Tucson and Southern Arizona for their stART Grant. stART Grants are community cultural development mini-grants designed to help complete projects or initiate small projects that impact a local neighborhood or community. This grant purchased the radio antenna for KMKR!

Some technical information about the antenna that one or two of you will find interesting: it's a PCP 2-bay 800 watt circular and polarized FM broadcast antenna with 0dB noise.

If you've ever heard our station on your radio, you're hearing it through this antenna!

We would also like to thank student volunteer Safia Francis of City High and Terry Nordbrock for their work on the proposal to the Arts Foundation. KMKR wouldn't have gotten the grant without you!
