I have always wanted to machine from Aluminum a Ball in a Box. My father was an avid wood carver and made many variations of the the Ball in a Box.
For my project I used Fusion 360 to create a 3D model of the part.
With the 3d model and the AL cube I created the CNC "gcode" to machine the part. I used the same Gcode 5 times on 5 of the cube faces. For the last fast '6th face" I needed to make a small fixture to hold both the frame and the Ball. The ball needed to be stationary to fully machine the last face.
After machining I just needed to do some hand work to remove the machining marks...
