Enameled Copper and Fused Glass

This piece is a combination of copper and glass. The copper piece has been shaped with the Hydraulic Press, polished, then enameled. Placed in the Enameling Kiln for a couple of minutes until the powder glass gets attached to the metal. The Glass piece is designed with different colored glass, then fused in the glass kiln. Each piece is drilled, cleaned. The last step is to create the design by combining with copper wire. Consider the firing of the coper and the glass each piece takes about 48 hours to create.
