I was asked to build a wooden enclosure, about 2'x2' and 4' high. It was needed quickly and I received materials before I had time to design it. I improvised most of the details of its design as I was building.
The materials used:
Four 2x4' sheets of 1/2" birch plywood
Three 8' 1x2" boards
Two packs of two hinges
Hasp
Bolts, washers, and lock nuts from Xerocraft stock.
I also used TiteBond II wood glue and a Harbor Freight pneumatic nailer and brads (about 1") that Xerocraft had.
I didn't do anything to conceal the edges of the plywood. I made it slightly wider than deep, to accomodate the contents.
I drilled a hole in the back to accommodate cables.
Once I had started cutting, I finished in about 4 hours.
For now, it's sitting along the west wall of Xerocraft's main floor's NE quadrant, near the 3D printer area.
