ADMISSION
This is a beginner class. Zero previous woodworking experience is required. No fancy techniques are necessary for this class. You will learn the basics of making simple and useful items with wood.
Starting with common boards, the students will cut out and build a basic step stool. Our project will use Kreg Pocket Hole joinery, because it's super easy, strong, quick and doesn't require any experience to be successful right away.
Wood finish will be easy to apply wipe-on oil or poly.
Cost: $35 for Xerocraft members. (Non-members are not eligible for this class)
All necessary materials are included: wood (pine or similar), screws, sandpaper and finishing oil.
Schedule: Two consecutive Sunday mornings for 3 hours each. 9am-Noon
Please plan to attend both sessions.
This class is limited to 4 students.
NOTE: Students MUST go through Xerocraft woodshop safety orientation prior to the class. Schedule your safety orientation by emailing boss.woodshop@Xerocraft.org
Safety Notice: Please wear closed-toe shoes in the woodshop. Xerocraft currently requires classes to wear masks.
