The roads around the Steinfeld Warehouse changed significantly in 2026. The five-year-long Downtown Links road improvement project has really altered how people get to our building. Consult the maps below to learn where the new roads are, road directions, and where you can find free parking.

The first map is a wide view of the surrounding roads. The second map is a close-up view of the roads around us with more details about parking as well as wheelchair, bicycle, and pedestrian access.

Free parking areas

Current acceptable free parking areas include:

  • Angled parking spots (16) on east side N 9th Ave (2 are ADA parking)
  • Parallel parking spots on west side of N 9th Ave
  • Parking spots on west side of Franklin Parking Lot (east of N 9th Ave)
  • Parking spots on the north side of Steinfeld Warehouse (north side of the road; see image below)
  • Parking spots in the dirt lot west of the Steinfeld Warehouse (west of Perry Ave)
  • Free parking in Dunbar Spring neighborhood (north of Xerocraft, across the train tracks)
  • If you're hauling something, drop it off at Xerocraft before parking
  • Use the pedestrian crosswalk over the train tracks to get here
  • If the crosswalk is blocked by a train, you can use the sidewalk at the Stone Ave Underpass (east of you) to safely bypass the train tracks.
  • If the pedestrian crosswalk is blocked by a stopped train, do not attempt to cross! You never know when the train will start moving again. Also, there are two train tracks at the crossing and you could be struck by a second passing train or other rail vehicle.

Free parking on the north side of the Steinfeld Warehouse!

There are free spots on the north side of the road where N 9th Ave meets N Perry Ave. Parking here was provided by the city and is free at all times.

Temporary loading and unloading and vehicle work is allowed in our back yard area, off of Perry Ave.

Wheelchair access

The historic Steinfeld Warehouse continues to make upgrades to be fully wheelchair accessible

N 9th Ave is now fully ADA compliant. Two ADA parking spots are available. The road has been resurfaced and clearly striped with crosswalks. Both sides of N 9th Ave are now accessible by wheelchair.

To enter Xerocraft through the front door, a wheelchair ramp is available at the northeast end of the warehouse (at the north end of N 9th Ave, near the train tracks).

The first floor of Xerocraft is accessible to wheelchair users. However, our mezzanines (which contain the Vinyl Cutter Dept and some computers), and our basement (which contains the Jewelry Dept, Electronics Dept, CNC Dept, and the downstairs classroom) are not yet wheelchair accessible.

Our back yard area (which contains the Welding and Foundry areas as well as a deck and party area) was landscaped and leveled to accommodate wheelchairs. It's accessible from the pedestrian door next to the back gate, off of Perry Ave (west of Xerocraft). Direct access between our first floor and the back yard is not available right now.
