Xerocraft Board of Directors

Monthly  Meeting

Sunday, July 20, 2025  in person at Xerocraft

Meeting called to order at 1:04pm

In attendance:  Mike Runde, Dusty Reyes, Bob Foster, David Nordahl, Don Cue

• Approve meeting minutes from June 15, 2025 Board meeting –unanimous approval 
• President’s Report by Dusty
• Nothing to report
• Treasurer Report by Ben
• Ben absent but sent financial report prior to meeting
• Numbers are holding steady and improving from last year
• Membership Report
• Nothing to report
• Secretary Report by Mike
• WAMO is interested in a solar grant for Steinfeld Warehouse. They will be requesting info from XC Board as they fill out the forms.  Looking good because XC, KDTN, and KMKR are non-profits working inside the Steinfeld under WAMO which is also a non profit.
• WAMO also interested in having XC install 3 cameras in the north bay as part of XC’s new camera system. They will pay for this, or give rent credit.
• Operations Report by MIke
• Mike to put together a proposal for the basement door so that we can apply for a grant.  Cost to be approx $6,500, installed price. WAMO has $2000 in 2025-2026 budget to help out.
• Bit Buckets has notified XC that they will not be renewing their yearly contract.  They have found more space elsewhere. 
• Board discussed replacing the wood floor in the wood shop.  Costs are coming in $4800-5000. No action taken but the Board will hold an email vote after the data is gathered. 
• WAMO is working to have our front lighted sign installed during the month of August.
• Mike talked about a plan to rent the western bay of the south shed from WAMO to increase the blacksmithing space. Mike will gather info and present at the next meeting.
• Programming Report by Dusty
• Dusty is building a new program in a program called Notion. More info later. Notion.com 
• MJ wants to start a new class on using AI tools to assist in early-stage media project development. She has been given the procedure to get this up and running. 
• Public Relations Report by Don
• Laser fundraising is up to $800.  Need to buy a new chiller for the new laser.
• Amir is now back posting things on Facebook.
• Fundraising Report by David
• David has been meeting new volunteers about fundraising.
• Requesting info from big corps like Wells Fargo and Comm Foundation of AZ
• Old News
• Hans Huth may be available to help out and might consider joining the Board.
