Xerocraft Board of Directors

Monthly  Meeting

Saturday, April 18, 2026 in person at Xerocraft

Meeting called to order at 12:09pm

In attendance:  Mike Runde, Dusty Reyes, Ben Winkler, David Nordahl, Don Cue, Guest: Todd Evans, Bob Foster arrived at 12:45


  • Approve meeting minutes from March 15, 2026 Board meeting
  • Motion and 2nd, Unanimous approval 
  • President’s Report by Dusty
  • The annual meeting has just passed, meeting the by-law requirement.  Many members attended. Some small complaints acknowledged. Chipotle food was excellent.
  • New volunteer Tara is very helpful.
  • Still need people to put stuff on their social media accounts.
  • Creative Capacity grant was filed on time.
  • Treasurer’s Report by Ben
  • Class fees and memberships are up. All of the large bills have been paid. Financials looking steady.
  • Pat G has raised donations and wants a portable A/C unit in the Jewelry Shop. Motion by Ben, 2nd by Dusty to spend up to $1000 for a portable A/C unit for the Jewelry Studio. Unanimous approval. Mike to procure this unit. 
  • Mike to talk to Repair Cafe about paying a monthly fee to use XC for 2nd Saturday. They may want to use a small area in the loft for tool storage.
  • General Manager Jeremy Briddle had a positive performance review and salary adjustment. Jeremy is a contractor, not an hourly worker. Board will revisit this again next year.
  • David Nordahl will be taking over Treasurer duties from Ben when his term runs out next year. Ben and David will work together on this to ensure seamless transition.

  • Operations Report by Mike
  • Mike received camera quote from a vendor. Board agreed that the price was quite high and XC still needed to do a fair amount of volunteer labor to run cabling. We need to research to learn exactly what we want/need. Mike agreed to get another quote.
  • Mike to make contact with WAMO architect about doing a code walk. WAMO is working on getting a code walk for the whole Steinfeld.  XC will try to partner to get a walk for the XC space. 
  • Membership Report
  • Will there be a summer party?  Most likely NO. 
  • Someone found a liquor bottle stashed in the XC space. XC has a strict NO ALCOHOL policy.
  • Board agreed that we don’t need more members at the present time, we need to take care of the members that we have. Ie, keep the space clean, functioning, and efficient.
  • Programming Report
  • We are looking for a Programming Director to handle classes and instructors. We may consider this to be a paying position.
  • Kyle unveiled a new addition to the website to help with instructor payments. We won’t implement this until we have a Programming Director.
  • Should there be a standard cost per class? Do we need a new class structure? Tabled until we can get a Programming Director.
  • Fundraising Report by David
  • Grant application has been filed on time. 
  • Grant applications seem to be taking more time and effort for a small return.  We may need to change priorities. More on this topic in the future.
