John: Laser cutters are very popular.
John: New laser cutter having some issues as well.
Don thinks it’s dust. We will teach people how to clean it.
We have a spare laser tube for the new laser cutter.
Don: Running laser tubes at 100% dramatically shortens life of tube. We should program in a reduction.
Jeremy: When new laser cutter started acting up, did anyone report it to the SM?
John: Adrian wonders if air assist isn’t working because it was cutting plastic but not wood.
Don: The air assist is working but that might be part of the problem.
John: Get LightBurn on general use and 3D printing PCs?
Jeremy will look into it.
How many PCs with one license? Don will check.
Jeremy: Is there a fume lean with the air assist?
Don: Maybe? Annette’s acrylic is pretty smelly.
Tom W: Financing of Bridgeport
$1000 to fix it. Tom might be able to get price reduced because we’re a nonprofit.
Bridgeport is working for now. It will fail. When it fails it won’t likely cause much damage but it will lock us out of a gear range. Tom has researched it and feels confident he can fix it.
John N: Backyard update
Jeremy: Construction continues on schedule
Jeremy: Trash pickup?
John: New pickup on Mondays and Thursdays but the city screwed up and missed us. Tuesday night, garbage is put out by David Tuesday, John brings it in Wednesday or leaves it out until it’s emptied.
