  4. Air assist is also helping a lot.
  5. We hope this tube will last longer with power monitoring
  6. Bed has not been leveled yet. Front right corner is a click lower. Shim it?
  7. Jeremy noted the strong odor and was concerned about fumes. We need to seal leaks and possibly reduce the air assist.
  8. Adrian: Previous tube could’ve been part of the problem.
  9. Automating the blower fans?
  10. Adrian has the controller built already.
  11. Vegetable-dyed leather in the laser cutters only! Chromium dust is dangerous.
  12. Don is trying to get more people signed up for the laser cutter email list.
  13. Don C: The VCarve license in the CNC Shop

  25. Angela M is looking for help and feedback
  26. Tom W: CNC mill class survey
  27. Tom has gotten the CNC metal mill working and now he needs to get people familiarized with it. It’s a major step up from the Bridgeport and CNC router. Likely only a small group will use it at first due to requirements.
  28. Tom is looking for interested people and putting on a class.
  29. Tom wants to put out a survey to gauge interest to get a class going.
  30. CAD and running the mill are too big to be one class. Two separate subjects!
  31. Jeremy: Basics of the operation of the mill class with simple items cut.
  32. Alexis: You can buy small items to be CNC milled.
  33. Ed S: Our liability insurance coverage and sharing coverage information with members and attendees
  34. Don: We should make staffers aware of our excellent liability insurance and train them to offer an email address to seek more information.
  35. Jeremy will add that to staffing manual
  36. Bob F: Developing a formal policy for staffing Open Hacks
  37. Part of the policy is shutting down depts when there’s no staffer in a dept during open hack.
  38. Also Shop Managers don’t want people in off the street coming in and using their tools.
  39. Don: We need a subcommittee. What’s most important when staffing open hacks? Trained staffers. Barriers to getting trained staffers?
  40. Subcmte: Alexis, Don, Jeremy, input from Bob
  41. Subcmte will try to have something by next SCM.
  42. Bob F: Charging for sandpaper and sanding discs
  43. Bob found a box of a lot of sandpaper from Guy in a box.
  44. Guy’s idea was to sell it.

  47. Bob put all the Wood Shop machines’ status on the website.
  48. Jeremy will look into it and get back to Bob.
  49. Steve W: Disposal of CRT monitors
  50. Steve takes responsibility for disposal of the CRT monitors. He’s looking for suggestions.
  51. Adrian: Check out Elliot Surplus Supply. Suburban Miners will recycle for $20/CRT
  52. Mike might be able to dispose of them.
  53. Steve: CRTs are not on the hazmat list so the county won’t take them.
