Minutes

  1. Bob F: Possible use of the south basement
  2. We used the south bay basement (under Untitled Gallery) for storing plywood for the floor repair.
  3. Mike says the bay is available.
  4. We could use it as space rental to members.
  5. We can remove the wood floor and replace it with compacted dirt.
  6. Bob D: We should concentrate on fixing the basement floor and back door. Increased traffic to the south bay will mean increased traffic through our basement.
  7. Steve W: UPSs in basement
  8. Most are working, some remain to be tested. All need batteries. Most are 300W max for about 15 mins. They’re good for short power outages for PCs to shut down without losing work.
  9. Jeremy will take one for running the dust collector duct gate control IoT system at the front desk.
  10. KMKR may take some as well.
  11. Jeremy will talk to Steve about what to do with the remaining UPSs.
  12. Patrick C: Machine Shop bandsaw blade needs replacing
  13. Blade is dull. Bryant is out of town right now.
  14. Jeremy will find out and get back to Patrick about it.
  15. Patrick C: Volunteers for expanding back yard sheds
  16. We're going to put a fence and gate around bay 1, put a roof over it, and move blacksmithing, CNC tables over there.
  17. Volunteers are needed for putting up the fence and taking down the plywood wall.
  18. Patrick might have volunteers for putting up the fence.
  19. Jeremy will talk to Patrick and Mike R about arranging volunteers for both projects.
  20. The earliest to get the fence in is Saturday, Sept 20.
  21. The fence must go up and the roof should go on before the wall can come down, in order to keep everything locked up.
  22. Don C: Making sure first floor back door keyholders know how to lock up
  23. It’s easy for keyholders to accidentally unlock the back door.
  24. The back door should remain locked from the outside.
  25. Jeremy will talk to the keyholders about how to properly unlock the back door.
