Bob F: Oliver lathe and Ready2Rout router table update
Bob F: Oliver lathe is well on its way to becoming functional again, thanks to Tom W and Steve W. We don’t know when it will be running again (two months?) but we’re optimistic. Steve really appreciates the metalwork that Tom did. Steve is working on the electronics.
Ready2Rout router table is now running in the CNC Dept. It’s a hybrid router table/CNC machine. The wood moves across the router by the user rather than the router moving across the wood via stepper motors like on a CNC router. It’s preset to do many different kinds of joints very precisely. Bob wants to do demos first. He’ll have the training down in more detail in about three weeks. Bob is working on the class details.
