Bob F: Update on dust collector upgrades
The Board approved funds for dust collector upgrades to replace our two old dust collectors in the corner of the basement that service the Wood Shop.
New dust collectors were ordered.
Cleanup has been done. More cleanup coming.
Jeremy needs to move the wire rack shelf.
The new dust collectors will be wall-mounted.
Mike R will have his election look at electrical upgrades.
We’re going to install some sound abatement panels.
At this point, we’re not expecting any tool downtime.
Adrian B: 3D Printing Dept update
Adrian is setting up a printer for ASA (UV resistant) and other advanced materials. It’s a networked printer. It’ll be isolated from the other printers. He’s working on instructions with pictures. He’ll train staffers. Members can bring in their own colors as long as the filament is within spec. He’ll let us know how it goes.
Simplifying slicer profiles.
We were donated an older printer. Adrian hopes to have it printing nylon.
Harvey B: Borrowing tools from one dept to another
Drill drivers from the Wood Shop were found out in Welding.

We’re invited to the Highland Games, Oct 23-25. We could have a large presence there.
