Cody M: Request for Feedback/Insight - Youth Class Development
Cody is looking for feedback on a class he’s been developing. Small, supervised, PPE is required. 1hr at a time over several weekends. Cody was hoping for kids as young as 10 (parents do most of the work).
Bob F: The Board is discussing a two-tier system for you access: 12-14yo for low-danger shops (Crafts, Electronics), 16yo for high-danger shops (Wood, Machine, etc), 18yo for their own memberships.
Kid-sized PPE
Cody is looking for feedback on curriculum and safety concerns
John N: How many people are there?
Cody: 4 anvils at a time. 4 kids, one kid per anvil, each with one parent present. One instructor. The kids do not go within 10ft of the forge. The parents do that part. The kids do the hammer strikes while the parent holds it.
Raj U is willing to volunteer for supervisor roles for the blacksmithing events
Cody M: 4th Ave Street Faire - Determining interest from other Xerocraft shops
4th Ave Street Fair wants to see if our shops are interested in participating with them
Raj U is willing to volunteer for both annual street fairs and can probably rally other Xerocraft members to join the booth
December 11-13 event over a weekend
Adrian and John will talk about setting up a 3D printer
We may not have power in the booth, we’ll have to find out.
